Stelvio Club confirms the "African appointment of spring" in Tunisia for this year, after Morocco in 2011. Moto Guzzi World Club is glad to support this event entirely devoted to this unstoppable motorbike.

A journey that will lead us from the Matmata underground homes of the troglodytes built by the Berbers, to the famous Ksar made famous in the first "Star Wars" film, running along salt lakes, travelling in the desert, and walking between the ruins of El Jem, with the beautiful Roman amphitheatre, second only to the Colosseum in size.

Not a large number of kilometers to be covered, about 2000 Km in a small country, a relaxing journey with beautiful roads and excellent hotels.

Saturday 21/4

Meetig place to the Genoa harbour and embark on motorship GNV with destination Tunis

Sunday 22/4

Landing at Tunis-The Goulette harbour in the first afternoon; customs operations and departure across striking byroads, to reach Tabarka, fishing port and ex Genoese protectorate famous for coral collecting.

Monday 23/4

Towards South, through the spectacular Krumiria and the cultivated uplands sloping to the Central plains leading to Gafsa, with the possibility to visit the Archaeological site of Royal Bulla and the Medina El Kef.

Tuesday 24/4

From Gafsa, close to the Algerian border, to the unbelievable "oasis of mountain" with a traditional lunch in the shade of the palms of the Chebika oasis; reaching Tozeur in the afternoon, and visit its "palmeraie" and the old town.

Wednesday 25/4

Crossing Chot el Jerid, the wide salt lake with surprising chromatic effects, to Douz, the door of the desert, trough some villages on the desert limits.

Thursday 26/4

From Douz to Ksar Ghilane, the mythical oasis of the Great Eastern Sand Sea, after a mint tea and a bath in the puddle of thermal water or a quad bike tour; arrival to the village of Matmata, famous for the troglodytes homes and the "Star Wars" movie set.

Friday 27/4

Reaching Tataouine, across the spectacular area of the Ksar, fortified Berber granaries used until few decades ago by the populations living in the zone.

Saturday 28/4

Northwards, through Sahel and an expanse of olive trees then, leading to Medina of Kairouan, holy town of the Islam.

Sunday 29/4

Back to Tunis to leave for Genoa by ship in the afternoon, after a coffee at Sidi Bou Said, in one of the more ancient coffee shop of Tunisia, or a grilled fish in a sea front restaurant.

Monday 30/4

Landing to Genoa in the first afternoon
